Here’s What Our Guests Say

At Apex Rafting, we don’t just run rivers, we deliver unforgettable adventures in the heart of British Columbia. With over 30 years of experience, we’re Revelstoke’s top-rated whitewater rafting company, guiding thousands of guests down the iconic Illecillewaet River since 1993.

Apex Rafting allowed our family of 5 (2 adults and kids ages 8, 10, 13) to go on Illecillewaet River with class 2/3 rapids. It is great for beginners and/or young kids. It had a nice balance of exciting rapids and relaxing views. The company was very organized in getting gear on/off of 41 people in the group. There were lots of guides to assist with needs such as wetsuits, helmets, lifejackets, sunglass straps, etc. Guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The best surprise was getting photos sent via email from the company at no extra cost. The cookies and watermelon at the end of the rafting trip was a favourite of my kids.
After a week exploring the mountains, we wanted one last adventure—and Apex delivered! Our guide, Hayley, was outstanding, navigating the water with skill and making every moment fun and safe. As a family of four (kids 10 and 16), we had an unforgettable experience. The scenery was breathtaking, the energy was high, and the entire team—from the warm welcome at check-in to snacks on the bus to helping us in and out of the water—made us feel valued from start to finish. If you’re after a half-day adventure you’ll be talking about for years, go with Apex. Bonus: they snapped amazing photos along the way, the perfect keepsake!
We had an absolutely fantastic time with Apex Rafting—easily a 5-star experience from start to finish!

Our bus guide, Jay, was the perfect mix of professional and entertaining, making sure we felt informed, comfortable, and safe before we even touched the water. Once we hit the river, our raft guide, Cade, was equally amazing—professional, friendly, and full of fascinating stories and facts about the surrounding mountains, glaciers, and history.

Booking was a breeze—payment and waivers done online in minutes. We arrived 20 minutes before departure, which was more than enough time to check in and get geared up (the bus ended up leaving after a short wait). The gear was in solid condition—especially the wetsuits and water socks—which kept us warm and comfortable.

The river itself is gentler than Golden’s Kicking Horse River, but the scenery is absolutely breathtaking and worth every moment. Prices are a touch higher than Golden, but the experience, guides, and atmosphere more than make up for it. We even had two chances to jump in and experience the refreshing (and bracing!) glacier water—such a thrill.

To top it all off, we finished the trip with fresh watermelon and cookies from the guides—a perfect ending. And unlike many other rafting companies, Apex includes trip photos for free (emailed to us the same evening), which was a wonderful bonus, even if the image quality could be improved.

If you’re in Revelstoke and want a safe, fun, and scenic whitewater adventure, Apex Rafting is an easy choice. Highly recommend!
